Which Peruvian Gold Balm Fits Your Routine?
Peruvian Gold began with Skin Healing Balm—the naturally golden balm that still sits at the heart of our line. Founded by Brynn, who is Peruvian, our North Carolina company carries traditional Peruvian plant knowledge into practical everyday care. As the line has grown, each tin has taken on a different job. Here’s how to choose the one that fits yours.

The gold in our name is a nod to Peru’s stories of lost treasure. To us, the treasure is the knowledge that people carried forward: plants, ingredients, and ways of caring for one another. That’s the thread connecting these balms, even when their formulas and purposes differ.
Everyday dry skin or extra foot care
Skin Healing Balm is our original formula. Its ingredients give the balm its vivid yellow-gold color, without artificial dyes. Sunflower, Amazonian sacha inchi, and olive oils come together with beeswax, vitamin E, aloe, and calendula, with no added essential oils. Moisturizing Foot Balm takes that care in a more specific direction: it includes lanolin and a purposeful peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary, tea tree, copaiba, lemon, and orange blend. Choose between them by application area and ingredients, especially if you avoid lanolin or essential oils.
Targeted muscle or joint care
Our approach is simple: every ingredient should have a reason to be there. In these balms, the essential oils are purposeful parts of the formula. Sore Muscle Balm uses capsicum, clove, peppermint, camphor, and cinnamon cassia in its botanical oil and beeswax base. Joint Relief Balm uses peppermint, clove, laurel, cinnamon, black pepper, ginger, chamomile, juniper, and thyme. These are distinct functional blends. Follow each balm’s instructions for the affected areas rather than treating them as interchangeable or ranking them by strength.
Bedtime and chest routines
Sleep Better Balm combines lavender, chamomile, orange, and clary sage for a purposeful bedtime formula. Chest Rub Balm uses eucalyptus, pine, peppermint, lavender, spruce, camphor, cypress, and marjoram. Pick the blend designed for your intended routine and read that product’s application and age guidance.
Two different outdoor roles
Bug Off Balm is our DEET-free bug-repellent balm, with a nine-oil blend including citronella, geranium, lemongrass, and catnip. Sun Burn Balm is an after-sun formula with aloe, calendula, menthol, geranium, peppermint, chamomile, and lavender. Sun Burn Balm does not replace sunscreen; these two tins serve different purposes.
One tin or a two-pack?
Each of these balms also has a two-pack listing. A two-pack gives you two tins of the named formula, rather than a stronger formula or a different blend. It can make sense when you want a spare or use the same balm in more than one place. Check the listing before ordering.
